BRAVE
BRAVE
WE REACHED OUR GOAL!
A great big "THANK YOU" goes out to everyone who gave their resources to the Brave Campaign. We successfully raised the $150,000 we needed to pave our campus road and parking lots thanks to our generous donors!
Please Note: Work continues on the driveway and parking project at the church. The asphalt paving will occur on June 20, 21, 22 which will require us to close campus for the week. The Sunday service, June 25, will run as normal.

This project represents much more than just a paved road and parking lot. Our leadership is in full support that this is in line with our mission and vision to use all of our 52 acres of property for sharing the gospel with Truckee and the Tahoe Community.
Before our church purchased this campus we had been a nomadic community renting spaces around town. This property seemed out of reach but in 2013 God allowed us to purchase this property and remodel the garage into our present building at a truly miraculous price.
As a church, we have strived to be good stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to us. We've been blessed with a beautiful property that is filled with many opportunities to minister to our community. However, the size and condition of our property is hindering our ability to fulfill our mission.
Three years ago we launched a fundraising campaign named “Brave” to purchase and build out used classroom modulars from TTUSD (our local school district). Our goal of approximately $100,000 was attained within a little over a month. We our so grateful to be part of a loving, active, generous church body!
The next major step forward in the development of our campus is paving our main road and parking area. Currently it is covered in gravel and dirt, which makes it difficult for people to navigate when they come visit. This can be especially challenging for visitors who are elderly, have mobility issues, two wheel drive vehicles or are coming in emergency situations.
Paving our property would create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who comes to visit our church. Snow removal has been beyond challenging and a paved road would make it possible for us to maintain access to our property all winter long. Paving would also make it easier for ambulances and fire engines to enter our property if necessary. This is critical for ensuring the safety of our programming and the wider community.
Furthermore, paving our property would help us cut costs on maintenance and snow removal in the long run. Gravel and dirt require regular maintenance to ensure that they are safe and accessible, which can be costly and time-consuming. By paving our property, we would be investing in a long-term solution saving us money and resources in the future.
Why should we undertake this project now? The answer is simple: because we have an incredible opportunity to do so. Our dedicated team is willing to contribute discounted work and donated materials which means that we can pave our property for a fraction of the cost that we would normally expect to pay. This truly seems like a God given opportunity.
This summer will be our biggest we have had on campus to date. From multiple Christian colleges camping here to local non-profits like Awaken and City Impact enjoying our property to blessing our local Truckee community with discounted kid’s camp, Community Plays and the Odyssey race with nearly three thousand people visiting our campus in one day!
As a church, we are called to be good stewards of the resources that God has given us. In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells a parable about a man who entrusts his servants with different amounts of money. When the master returns, he rewards the servants who have invested their money wisely, but he punishes the servant who buried his money in the ground. Jesus concludes the parable with the famous words, "For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him" (Matthew 25:29, NIV).
As a church, we have been blessed with many resources, including our property. It is our responsibility to use these resources wisely and to invest them in ways that will advance the kingdom of God. Paving the road is an investment in the future of our church and our community. It will enable us to serve more people and to create a safe and welcoming environment for all who come to visit.
So, how can you help? We are asking each person who is a part of our church community to prayerfully consider giving above and beyond their normal regular giving in order to raise the $150,000 that we need to pave our property. We know that this is a significant amount of money, but we also believe that with God's help, we can accomplish this goal.
In the book of Philippians, Paul writes, "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19, NIV). We know that if we trust in Jesus and work together for His glory, we can raise the funds that we need to leverage this property for His purpose.
We understand that not everyone may be able to give a large amount, but every contribution is important. We encourage you to give what you can."
